Makino’s new 5-axis T2 horizontal machining center dramatically increases the efficiency of titanium milling, combining lean manufacturing methods and higher metal removal rates for today’s aerospace applications.
The T2 designed specifically for the production of large titanium and titanium alloy aerospace parts such as rim frames, pylons and bulkheads. The T2 includes several key elements for efficient titanium milling, including an active damping system, rigid construction for improved performance, a high-torque, high-power spindle, and a high-pressure, high-flow cooling system to increase speed and productivity.
